Charles was reportedly born in Chambly, Vallée du Richelieu, Québec, although some sources seem to think he was from New Brunswick, which would be much closer to where he lived and died. His parents were Nicolas Létourneau (10 Oct 1722-7 Mar 1770) from Prince Edward Island and Marie Genevieve Peloquin (~1729-22 May 1815) from Sorel, which apparently means what’s now Sorel-Tracy, Montérégie, Quebec.
Marie-Marthe was born in St-Joseph-de-Carleton (now Carleton-sur-Mer), Bonaventure, Quebec, north across Chaleur Bay from New Brunswick, to Louis Bernard and Louise Legouffe.
Charles and Marie-Marthe married in St-Joseph-de-Carleton on 16 Feb 1801. They apparently moved to Restigouche County, New Brunswick around 1810, since their son Jean was reported born there in 1811.
They died in St-Joseph-de-Carleton in 1835 and 1837.

Marie-Josephe married Urbain Quessy (27 Oct 1790-22 Jul 1868) on 20 Feb 1834. It was his third marriage, and he came with young children. Reported children of Urbain and Marie-Josephe:
